Itinerary of Royal Rajasthan Tour (16 days 15 nights)
Day 1: Reach Delhi
The tour executive will be there to pick you up from the airport or railway station. From here you will be taken to a good centrally located hotel in the capital and here starts your rendezvous of Delhi. If you wish to visit some shopping places, you can do that also. Enjoy a sumptuous dinner in any of the popular eating joints in the capital. Overnight stay is in Delhi.
Day 2: Delhi Sightseeing
Post breakfast the tour driver will pick you up. First, you will visit tourist attractions which remind you of the past of Delhi such as Jama Masjid, Humayun’s Tomb, Qutab Minar, etc. Then you can drive past Parliament House, Red Fort, and India Gate. If there is still time to spare you must visit Akshardham Temple which is a brilliant piece of architecture. This spiritual-religious complex will simply blow your imagination. Day3: Delhi to Agra
In the morning you will leave for the city of Agra. Yamuna Express Highway has made this journey fast and comfortable. You will reach Agra in less than 4 hours. On reaching Agra check into a hotel close to the Taj and immediately leave for sightseeing of the Taj Mahal with a government-approved tourist guide. It would be best if you also visited other key tourist places in Agra such as Agra Fort. Tomb of Itimad- ud-Daulah, etc. Overnight stay is in Agra.
Day 4: Agra to Ranthambore National Park
In the morning the tour driver will transfer you to the land of the wild, Ranthambore. This wildlife reserve near Sawai Madhopur was the hunting ground of the erstwhile royal family. It takes around 6 hours to reach Ranthambore as the road is not very smooth. On the way to Ranthambore, you will have an option to either visit the forgotten city of Fatehpur Sikri or Chand Baori Step Well. Both these are UNESCO World Heritage sites and you will have an amazing time visiting either of them. Ranthambore National Park is one of the biggest wildlife reserves in the country and here you get to see wildlife such as crocodiles, peacocks, sloths, tigers, etc from proximity. Day 5: Ranthambore to Jaipur
Early the morning, you will go for the morning safari. It is an experience in itself. Consider yourself lucky if you can spot the tiger. However, you will be able to see other animals, such as deer, elephants, etc Later in the day you must visit other attractions here such as Ranthambore Fort, Ganesh Mandir Temple, Padam Talao Lake, etc. You can even go for an evening safari if you want. The time spent amidst the wild is truly amazing and you will enjoy it a lot. Overnight stay is in Ranthambore.
Day 6: Jaipur sightseeing
In the morning you will leave for the ‘Pink City”. The journey is. not very long and you will leave Jaipur in less than 4 hours. Once you reach, you will check- into a good heritage hotel. After a brief period of rest, you can visit some key tourist spots in the city such as Jantar Mantar( the royal observatory), City Palace, Hawa Mahal, etc. Enjoy a nice lavish Mughlai dinner in your hotel. Day 7: Jaipur to Udaipur
In the morning you will visit the spectacular Amer Fort. Take an elephant ride up to the entrance of the fort. Amer Fort offers you a bird’s eye view of Jaipur. You must visit other places in Jaipur such as Jaigarh Fort, Alber Hall Museum, etc. Do some shopping in the multi-hued bazaars of Jaipur. Jaipur is known for semi-precious and precious gemstones, tie and dye fabric, etc. Overnight stay is in Jaipur.
Day 8: Udaipur sightseeing
In the morning you will leave for Udaipur which is popularly referred to as the “ City of Lakes’. People come here to host world-class weddings. The opulence of forts and places of Udaipur has garnered international recognition. Udaipur is a beautiful city that offers tourists lots to see. Begin with a visit to City Palace. This is a lovely palace that was built by Maharana Udai Singh. Then visit Jagdish Mandir. This Hindu temple holds a lot of religious significance. You must also visit Saheliyon-ki- Bari, and Udaipur museum. Overnight stay is in Udaipur.
Day 9: Udaipur to Jodhpur
After breakfast day you will be transferred to Jodhpur. It just takes around 5 hours to reach this blue City’.Most of the houses in the city are painted in blue colour, thus the name ‘Blue City’.In the evening you can indulge in some shopping. Visit the Ghanta Ghar area also known as the Clock Tower market. Overnight stay is in a hotel in Jodhpur.
Day 10: Jodhpur sightseeing
Jodhpur sightseeing begins with a visit to the Mehrangarh Fort. This is the biggest fort in the country and is located 400 feet over the city. After that, the tour guide will take you to Jaswant Thada. This white marble structure was built in memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh 2. Other key places that should be included in your itinerary are Mandore Gardens, Kalyana Lake, and Umaid Bhawan Palace. Overnight stay is in a hotel in Jodhpur
Day 11: Jodhpur to Jaisalmer
After breakfast, the tour driver will take you to Jaisalmer in a private luxury vehicle. The journey takes around 6 hours and once you reach Jaisalmer, you will check into a good hotel and rest for a while. In the evening, you can explore the local markets. Most of the homes in Jaisalmer are made of yellow sandstone. Overnight stay is in a hotel in Jaisalmer.
Day 12: Jaisalmer sightseeing
The day begins with a sightseeing tour of Jaisalmer. Visit the beautiful Jaisalmer Fort. This hilltop fort dominates the skyline of Jaisalmer city. Other key places to visit in Jaisalmer are Patwon ki Haveli and Gadi Sagar Lake. Overnight stay is in a hotel in Jaisalmer.
Day 13: Jaisalmer to Bikaner
Today you will be transferred to Bikaner. The journey takes only 4 hours. Check into a good hotel and then step for some sightseeing. Visit the Junagarh Fort. Bikaner is also famous for mouth-watering food. Enjoy your meal at a local restaurant. Overnight stay is in a hotel in Bikaner.
Day 14: Bikaner to Mandawa
The tour driver will take you to Mandawa town. It is referred to as the open workmanship gallery of Rajasthan. The frescoes will just astound. Visit Ram Pratap Nemani Haveli, Sewaram Saraf Haveli, Hanuman Prasad Goenka Haveli, etc. The overnight stay is in a decent hotel.
Day 15: Mandawa to Delhi
In the morning you will be leaving for Delhi. Once you reach Delhi you will check into a hotel and rest till the next day.
Day 16: End of the tour
This is the last day of the tour. The tour driver will take you to the airport or the railway station. From here you will leave for your onward destination. This marks the conclusion of the Royal Rajasthan Tour.
