Itinerary

05:00 AM – Pickup by the tour driver

The tour driver will pick you up from your chosen hotel in Delhi, gurugram or from the airport. In a private luxury vehicle, you will be taken to New Delhi Railway Station where you will board the train for Agra. The tour driver will help you with the boarding of the train.  The train departs at 6:00 AM and you will reach Agra by 08:50. You will be provided with a nice and safe breakfast on board.

08:50 AM – Reach Agra

The train will reach Agra at 8:50 AM. The tour representative will come to pick you up from the Agra Cantt Railway Station. He willinintroduce you with your friendly and professional tour guide. 09:30 AM – Visit Taj Mahal

12:00 PM –   Visit Marble Inlay Work Factory

Agra is known for its exquisite marble inlay work. In this tour you will visit a marble inlay work factory where you can see  craftsmen, working relentlessly to create beautiful sculptures and figurines of white marble inlaid with semi- precious stones . From animal figures to Taj Mahal replicas, statues of Hindu gods, goddesses, coffee tables, vases  you will see  a huge variety of things. You can even talk to these artisans and ask them about how long he has been working for such  kind of work? What was the role of their ancestors while Taj Mahal was under construction? 01:00 PM – Food Tour

03:00 PM – Visit to Mughal carpet-weaving factory

These days’ hi-tech machines are used to make carpets. But in Agra, you will find exquisite hand made and hand-knotted carpets. They are even dyed in organic colors. At the carpet making factory, you will get an opportunity to see the step by step knotting of the carpets. In case you wish you can even buy a carpet and take it back home. These carpets are of high quality and are available at a reasonable price.

4:00 PM – Visit embroidery school

It was the Mughals who brought the fine art of embroidery to India. Embroidery School of Agra is a place where you can several people learning embroidery under the guidance of experts. There are several wonderful pieces on display, that you can see  and appreciate. For a quick bite visit the much- popular Sheroes café that was built was acid attack survivors. 05:00 – Departure for Delhi

The tour driver will take you to the railway station where you can board the train for Delhi. This superfast train leaves at 0550 pm and takes only one and half hour to reach Delhi. On reaching Delhi you will be transferred to your hotel or to the airport as per your plan.  This marks the end of your Exotic Agra Local Craft and Food Tour.
